Best All 22 Pokemon TeamsTop-rated lineups to copy.

Looking for the strongest Pokemon All 22 team? Below are example lineups built with the same position-fit formula the builder uses. The top lineup reaches 94 OVR; a second-string lineup with none of those players still reaches 89 OVR. Each team lists all 22 spots with the fit rating for that position, and one click loads it into the builder so you can tweak it.

What makes a great All 22 Pokemon team

An All 22 lineup has 11 offensive and 11 defensive spots, and each one rewards different stats. Quarterbacks want Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed. Receivers and cornerbacks live on Speed. Linemen want size, Defense and HP (offense) or size and Attack (defense). Team OVR is the average of your offense and defense plus a type-variety bonus of up to +5, one point for every three types on the roster.

That is why the best teams look odd at first: Snorlax-sized Pokémon in the trenches and the fastest Pokémon in the game out wide. For the full stat weights read the rating formula explained, and for what each spot does see every All 22 position explained.

Max Rating Lineup

EXAMPLE · OVR 94 · OFF 91 · DEF 88 · 12 TYPES

Every spot filled by whichever of the 151 Pokémon fits it best. It is about as high as our formula goes, legendaries allowed.

Second-String Lineup

EXAMPLE · OVR 89 · OFF 85 · DEF 84 · 13 TYPES

Built only from Pokémon that did not make the Max Rating Lineup. Proof that there is more than one way to field a contender, and a good team to use if a friend already took the obvious picks.

FAQ

What is the best All 22 Pokemon team?

▶

Using our position-fit formula, the highest-rated lineup we have built from the 151 Gen 1 Pokémon scores 94 OVR. Using none of those 22 Pokémon, the best second-string example still scores 89 OVR. Both are listed on this page and load straight into the builder.

Do I need legendaries to build a top All 22 team?

▶

No. Legendaries are strong at a few spots, but the best overall lineup comes from matching each position to the right stats, and many top fits are ordinary Pokémon.

Why are slow giants on the lines?

▶

Offensive and defensive line ratings reward size, Defense and Attack, not speed. Heavy Pokémon like Snorlax, Onix and Golem fit those spots far better than fast attackers.

Can I copy these teams?

▶

Yes. Every example has a Load button that opens the full 22-man lineup in the free builder, where you can swap players and share your own version.

Are these real community teams?

▶

No. These are example lineups generated by our rating formula and clearly labeled as examples. We do not show fake user teams.

Pokemon All 22 is a free fan-made project, not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures or The Pokémon Company. Example teams are generated by our own rating formula and are labeled as examples; they are not real user submissions.
